Basic Qualifications

• At least 18 years of Age
• Copy of Birth Certificate
• Copy of High School Diploma and transcript or GED and GED Test Scores
• All Veterans need to provide a copy of their DD-214
• Proof of Residency for the past Six Months
• Valid drivers license, Social Security Card

Education and Training

In addition to Paid On-The-Job Training with Union Construction Companies, all Apprentices receive 144 Hours of Classroom Training each year of of their Apprenticeship.
This Training is offered to all registered Apprentices. Subjects covered include:

• Safety
• Labor History
• Grade Stakes
• Rigging and Signaling
• Pre-Start Inspections

• Fuels
• Lubricants
• Coolants
• First Aid/ CPR Training
